之前我們介紹過由動作巨星 Sylvester Stallone 所主演 Over the Top (台譯超越巔峰) 的電影配樂 Meet Me Half Way。而今天要介紹的這首單曲，則是 Sylvester Stallone 成名代表作 Rocky 系列的電影配樂之一，那就是 Eye of the Tiger，收錄在 Rocky III (台譯洛基第三集) 的電影原聲帶中。
Sylvester Stallone 原先在選曲時屬意由 Queen 所演出的 Another One Bites the Dust，但是在雙方合作觸礁之後，Stallone 轉而向 Survivor 這個美式搖滾樂團發出邀請，並順利獲得 Eye of the Tiger 這首單曲。這首單曲不但同時獲得英美兩地排行榜的冠軍，更替 Survivor 贏得一座葛萊美獎，一舉將 Survivor 推上演唱事業的最高峰。同名專輯 Eye of the Tiger 擁有 #2 的排行成績，是 Survivor 成績最好的一張專輯。Survivor 之後推出一張成績不盡理想的專輯 – Caught in the Game，連收錄在電影 The Karate Kid (台譯小子難纏) 原聲帶的單曲 The Moment of Truth 也同樣受到市場的冷落。好在 Survivor 於 1984 年所推出的專輯 – Vital Signs 擁有不俗的排行表現，讓 Survivor 的演唱事業得以成功的加以延續，並且與 Stallone 在 Rokcy IV (台譯洛基第四集) 的電影原聲帶中有了另一次的合作機會，推出另外一首排行單曲 (#2) – Burning Heart。
